▲我感觉原句没错。family作为集合名词，它到底表示复数意义还是单数意义，取决于说话者是把它当作整体看待还是从其个体去考虑。譬如：
Most of my family lives in Arizona. 我的家人大多数住在亚利桑那州。（美国传统词典）
Most of my family are musicians; it runs in the blood. 我家的人大都善于音乐，是世传。（牛津高阶）
▲顺便说一句，all the family 也是一样。如：
All the family is in the pink. 全家人的身体都好极了。
All the family are going to be there. 全家人都计划去那儿。
当然，以上使用方法中，用复数的状况一定要常见一些，但也不可以说用单数就是错的。
