It seems as if...与It seems that...有不同吗？如：
It seems as if everybody else knew except me.
It seems that everybody else knew except me.
it seems as if和it seems that有如下不同：
第一，it seems that结构中的it永远是无实义的形式主语，由于大家不可以说that ...... seems.
但it seems as if结构中的it既能够是形式主语，也可以是真的的代词。在语料库中大家可以看到如下例句：
Sheseemsasifshe has doubts about having asked Harry to leave.
Thepastseemsasifit had to happen the way it did.
第二，it seems that结构中从句只能是陈述语气，而it seems as if结构中从句既可是陈述语气，也可是虚拟语气。
第三，it seems that和it seems as if + 陈述语气一般用来表达说话人觉得的真实状况，如
It seems that your uncle is seriously ill.
而it seems as if + 虚拟语气一般用来表达比喻，即说话人了解事实上不是如此，如
Itseemsasifthe organ had been prepared in anticipation of the future progress in man, since it contains latent capacities which are useless to him in his earlier condition. （但依据进化论大家了解事实上不大可能是如此的）
