紫腚能行[zǐ dng nng xng]是指定能行[zhǐ dng nng xng]的谐音，源于东北方言，表示one will surely accomplish his goal。
除此之外，母亲穿旗袍含义旗开得胜（succeed at the first try），父亲穿马褂含义马到成功（gain an immediate victory），都是为了给参加考试的孩子讨个好彩头。
